DESIGN PROCESS

An important factor when designing is the communication and rapport between client and designer. Also, the gathering of information, down to the smallest detail and a great deal of observational skills are essential to a successful design process.

1) We would start with a questionnaire in order to understand what the specific goals of the garden design will be. Visit our Online Questionnaire.

2) A base plan and site analysis are then initiated

SITE ANALYSIS AND CONDITIONS:

We determine these potential challenges:
• windy, wet areas,
• sloping grounds, noise pollution,
• poor drainage, proper grading,
• soil erosion , privacy,
• condition of existing plants and trees, soil condition,
• lighting, safety,
• practicality, accessibility,
• sun and shade, visual sore points
• material of existing features, like house or pathways
This is followed by a thorough measurement of your property.

3) Master Plan, which includes all Hardscape components and Plant Materials, drawn to scale, easy to read, computer generated and coloured, to be reviewed before finalized. This also includes sketches of focal points.

4) Plant List includes:
1. Common Name
2. Botanical Name
3. Mature size
4. Bloom time
5. Colour
6. Special features
7. Number of plants to be used
8. Photos of specialty plants
